My old portfolio website was boring, and without a proper CMS behind it, a pain to update. So I decided to change the format to a WordPress blog. It was not a hard transition, they have a 5 minute install manual, and I had recently installed it for a freelance project.
Although for the past year and a half I have used Joomla to build websites for others, I decided to use WordPress for my own website. The main reason is because I wanted a blog format to be able to chronologically save my work. Another reason is my experience with WordPress is not as extensive as Joomla, so hopefully using it will make me just as comfortable.
Right now it looks like the default WordPress TwentyTen theme. Putting it up was important at this point so I can chronicle my updates to change this blog from the default WordPress theme into the murfolio.com it’s supposed to be. Although I’m not really sure when that will be…
